Our Mission
The Maryland Legislative Coalition is a coalition of grassroots activist organizations across the state of Maryland. Our mission is to promote legislation in areas such as education, environment, public safety, healthcare, and social justice that supports all Marylanders by making their lives better. With well over 30,000 members in every district across the entire state, we put the power of the people to work in shaping legislation in Maryland.
What We Do
The Maryland Legislative Coalition is a partnership of individuals and members of grassroots groups in every legislative district across the state who are laser-focused on state-level legislation. The Climate Justice Wing is a separate subgroup of grassroots organizations and individuals that focuses on climate change legislation.
Legislative Agenda
Before each legislative session, we work with Legislators and Non-Governmental (Activist) Organizations to create a Legislative Agenda.
Annual Legislative Summit
We host an annual Legislative Summit to review and coordinate the Legislative Agenda with all of our members.
Take Action
We track and help push bills through the legislative process, rally members to call legislators and voice their support for legislation, and testify on bills.
Scorecards
After the legislative session, we develop scorecards to grade every legislator's support of our agenda.
